Mountain bike

The FFC accredited Gex-Bellegarde Crozet-Pays mountain biking area opens up 150 km of circuits from Crozet, Divonne-les-Bains, Lelex, Bellegarde, Menthières and Léaz.

 It is situated in an exceptional site facing the Mont Blanc, 15 km from Geneva and close to Divonne-les-Bains with its thermal baths, Ferney-Voltaire and its château, Collonges and its fort (Fort l'Ecluse) and Bellegarde which is on the TGV high-speed train line (Paris - Geneva line).

Two local clubs, Valserine Extrême Bike and Michaille Aventure, take part in this dynamics.

  • Guided ride along the Valserine river :
    From Lelex or Chezery, ride down to Bellegarde, on paths along the river. Technical between Lelex an Chézery, easier from Chezery. For more details, please contact the Tourism Office.
  • The ride of the Tétras
    In Col de La Faucille : Mountain bike for families..
    From the summit of the cable car of Montrond, take the special ways in order do discover mountain biking.

    Two levels of difficulty : 6 - 12 years old and 12 - 16 years old.
    Playful routes in forest marked out and secured.

    • La Valserine down hill
      One day guided trip along the Valserine from Lélex or Chézery to Bellegrade. Lélex-Chézery leg rather technical and difficult, Chézery-Bellegarde leg easier. Join us on thursdays evey summer.
      Return trip from Bellegarde by coach.

    • The Tétras route
      Col de La Faucille : family circuit

    • From the top of the Mont Rond cable car, take the family routes.

      Two levels of difficulty : 6 - 12 years old and 12 - 16 years old.
