Accommodation in Monts Jura can be found in the villages of Mijoux and Lélex and also at the Col de la Faucille. These picturesque villages are situated in the Valserine valley, in county of Ain on the edges of the county of Jura . The Col de la Faucille itself dominates the valley at a height of 1330 m...

The buildings which make up these villages are old farms with typical Jura architecture, chalets, small houses or hotels .

The former economic activity and traditions have left a strong impression on the architecture and the countryside. Forestry, working with wood, lapidary craft (working and polishing gemstones) and pastoralism are still practised today.

The know-how passed down from generation to generation makes up one of the indisputable riches of the resort. In this respect the inhabitants of Mijoux bring back to life the scenes of life in former times through the mural frescos painted on the houses in the village.
